LCE Australia Night

G'day mates! Whether you're new to Oz (Australia) or been here for a while, join us for a celebration of Aussie culture on Friday the 10th of March, from 4.30pm – 7:30pm on the Barr Smith Lawns, North Terrace Campus.

You will be able to experience Australian culture through food, games and experiences presented by our wonderful Cultural Ambassadors;

• Be welcomed to the traditional lands of the Kaurna people by an Indigenous Elder,
• Try your hand (or foot) at Aussie Rules football, cricket, netball and rugby with our guests from AU sport,
• Meet and pet some native Australian animals (beware the drop bear),
• Learn and be confused by classic Aussie slang and expressions (not to mention the accents),
• Tantalise your taste buds with Australian snacks like Bushtucker ice cream, lamingtons, Tim Tams and the infamous Vegemite.

The event is free for all University of Adelaide students and includes dinner, as well as iconic Aussie snacks for guests to try. LCE gives you a golden opportunity to experience unique cultures with a different country theme each time and you will get to take home some precious knowledge about the country and culture with plenty of fun!

IMPORTANT TICKET INFORMATION

The event will open at 4:30pm. Participants with tickets will receive a stamp card on entry, which grants the holder first access to the Bushtucker ice cream, BBQ dinner and raffle entry. Access to the stamp cards may be opened to all participants during the night as capacity permits. Entry will close at 7pm. If you have any concerns, please let us know.

You can register for a ticket if you are certain of your attendance on Friday the 10th of March from 4.30pm - 7.30pm. Otherwise, we ask that you do not register until you are certain, to allow another student the opportunity to enjoy the full experience of this event.

IMPORTANT: If you are no longer able to make it to the event, please cancel your ticket or inform us via email at least two days before the event. Failure to do so will blacklist you from attending future events.
